Greg Buck, Green Beret... NOT!!

Sometimes you should count your blessings, move on and shut up.

We were sent Greg Buck the fake Green Beret back in 2016 as to have claimed to be a Green Beret on ODA 335 as an 18D. He had been talking to a guy he knew in high school. The guy from high school happened to be a legit Green Beret and asked if anybody knew him in a vetted Special Forces forum.

Initial 2016 question as to whether anybody knew him?

We quickly established he was never a Green Beret. It looks like he was claiming to be New Orleans SWAT also. We reached out to those that worked with him and they said he was a problem.

When we reached out to Greg Buck the fake Green Beret himself, he was adamant he NEVER said he was SF, a Green Beret, 18D, on ODA 335, or anything close to that.

He sent us a 1,347-word song and dance "woe is me" email that was painful to read.

That being said, we were getting ready to expose him as a fraud, and the file somehow got moved inside an adjacent file and thus out of sight. Had Greg Buck the fake Green Beret lived the rest of his life quietly as a non-Green Beret, we would have forgotten about him and he would have received a pass. Not that we were giving him a pass, we simply would have never seen the file again as it was hidden.

Fast forward to May 2021...

He's talking to somebody claiming to be what? A Green Beret

What MOS is he claiming? 18D (Special Forces Medical Sergeant)

What ODA is he claiming? ODA 335

WTF?

18D on ODA 335 is the EXACT same lie he told the high school friend in 2016 (that he said he didn't). He seems to have lived in his delusion of being a Green Beret since he was dropped from never even starting the Q-Course.

The only thing is... He was telling all this to a legit Green Beret who searched his name in a vetted site called SF Brothers and saw to 2016 thread on him. oops.

We don't even see he attempted the Prep Course. The Prep Course is before you even get to attempt SFAS (Special Forces Assessment and Selection), and SFAS is before SFQC (Special Forces Qualification Course)

Greg Buck the fake Green Beret is as much a Green Beret is as my Mom is.

He NEVER attempted SFQC because he didn't attempt SFAS.

He didn't attempt SFAS because he never even attempted SOPC.

He didn't attempt SOPC because He just didn't.

He was never assigned to a Special Forces Regimental unit for a day.

Wanting to be a Green Beret and getting hurt before you even attempt any part of anything does NOT give you the right to pretend to be one of us. In his woe is me 1,347-word excuse... He is confused as to how often you need to Jump to stay on Jump status. We can assume he hurt himself in his cherry jump and that's why he doesn't know how often you need to jump.

This news is pretty sad for me because I knew the guy. The 1998 overwrite should read that he was the commander of C Troop, 1-18 Cav. I don't recall him wearing any tabs or badges. I am glad that a 19th Group (Guard) guy brought this to your attention. To me this casts a shadow of suspicion with anybody in the Guard. He left the Guard prior to GWOT. I think that the Guard did our share in GWOT with multiple mobilizations and deployments. I was mobilized twice, including a year in Afghanistan as an Infantryman. Now I'll wonder if people will think I'm a liar if I say anything about my service. Thanks Eddie...

They should make a documentary about how this turd BS'd his way through the years in order to be in a position to be standing next to Presidents, politicians & celebritys. I get pissed when I think of all the others like him but that have never gotten exposed or caught. Great job catching this s--t turd.

FRANCO K WEBB is a LYING POSER. He and I were BEST FRIENDS during the time he CLAIMS 7th GP 18D (MY MOS and MY Duty assignment - ODA 755/754, O&I, SWC G Co SFAS, 1st Bn S3).

He was NEVER ASSOCIATED WITH, ASSIGNED TO, in SUPPORT OF, or attended ANY TRAINING that would qualify his claim of being an 18D.

He was a CAR STEREO SALESMAN and INSTALLER on Yadkin Road the ENTIRE TIME I KNEW HIM. We were in Westarea Fire Department TOGETHER and he lived in a trailer on Haretown road.

It APPEARS that he has taken some of MY SF TRAINING, HISTORY and BACKGROUND, claimed it as his own, and further EMBELLISHED those stories for his own video game centered bravado.

He probably never will. The 7th Grp picture he pretends is his is an ODA from the mid-'80s. We've identified all men in the picture. It also looks like he added a Ranger Tab to his website. He's never before claimed Ranger so this is strange.

He and Mike Mika (President of SFA Ch 34) threatened to sue the SFA National if they didn't rescind the letter they sent us, give Rudi a formal apology, and re-instate him as a member in good standing. Of course SFA National refused and nothing came of his idle threat.

Mike Mika has twice, along with Rudi Gresham the fake Green Beret claimed that Rudi spent 12 years in the S.C. National Guard and that's where he attained the rank of LTC. Neither time were they able to produce records that baked up that statement.

Secondly, it is my hope that Mr Prouix owns up to his lies. I have been watching this story and it disgusts me that there are people who would assume to receive the accolades deserved, but never sought, by better, braver, stronger men.
