Ronald Worthey, Fake Green Beret came under our radar about a month and a half ago. Someone from his MC club reached out to us to see if we could vet him. A number in his club had questions on his claims.

We were told he claimed to have been in Vietnam in 67, 68, and 69 as a Green Beret. He also claimed to have received the Silver Star and 3 Purple Hearts.
We attained his records and it looks like he never left the States as a Seaman in the Navy for a year and 5 months.
Pretty cut and dry case. He readily admitted it during a phone call. We couldn't use the first call, so we called him back and were able to reestablish contact and he admitted the same in a more streamlined call. During that call, you can hear him state he only started the Purple Heart claims a few months ago. That's yet another lie from Ron Worthey's mouth. In the pictures, you can see him wearing the PH on his hat from years ago and the quilt made for him in 2016 says Vietnam Veteran, Recipient of the Silver Star, and three Purple Hearts. That quilt picture was dated in 2016.

He agreed to mail back his fake patches to the Green Beret Foundation, yet they have not received them yet.
